About Me

Chamari De Silva

Bringing the strategy, the heart, and the kind of energy that makes Mondays bearable.
Hi 👋, call me "Chams"…it may be a little easier for everyone.

I'm a full-stack marketer who's led growth and retention from discovery through launch, at early-stage startups and recognizable consumer brands alike.

I've strategized and built for every stage of a hard decision:

A consumer purchase
A packed conference floor
A subscription worth keeping
A home to finance
A lease to renew

I love people. It's why I shape marketing that connects first, and converts because of it.

Chamari De Silva
Revive
Finding the programs that have gone quiet and rebuild them until they perform.
Build
Creating what doesn't exist yet: lifecycle architecture, KPIs, playbooks, whether that's a blank page or an established team.
Refine
Knowing when to sharpen instead of rebuild. I find the leakage points and run the tests that prove what's working.
Measure
Developing attribution frameworks that track real performance, not vanity metrics.
14+ years across prop-tech, fintech, and consumer brands
$4.4M generated from a single marketing campaign
85% average household claim rates
260% growth in affiliate partnerships
Approach
Give me zero and a deadline.

I joined as Renew's first marketing hire and established the function from the ground up: brand, lifecycle, product, and end-user marketing, across all audiences. I didn't just own campaigns, I sat in on product discovery, shaped feature direction, and created the go-to-market and enablement work that carried it into the world. And the core consumer marketing program never missed a beat.

Strategic calls

A few examples

The Channel Bet
Observed 60%+ of users engaging with the platform from mobile devices. Allocated budget to onboard transactional SMS, driving a 3x incremental lift in engagement over email alone.
The Resident Services Pivot
Midway through scaling ancillary revenue, I saw the internal framing would create friction externally. Pitched leadership on a full repositioning, then built the GTM materials to support the shift.
The Case I Didn't Win
Recommended against adding a third-party tool when our existing CRM could already support needs. Was overruled, but I made sure the user experience never showed the seam.
Highlights

More things I'm proud of:

Culture carrier

I joined our first community team, trained and supported new hires, organized speakers on thought leadership, and championed celebrating our differences (a core pillar for how we operated) to drive cohesion and a positive workplace.

Resourceful by nature
Tight budgets, lean experiments. I find what's worth scaling before investing further.
Data-first, felt personal
Data shows me what's needed. I turn that into a strategy that feels personal.
Calm in ambiguity
No roadmap? I build my own, tied to the org's broader KPIs and goals.
Cross-functional by design
Engineering, product, compliance, leadership. I translate so nothing gets lost in the handoff.
Leadership philosophy
Empathy doesn't cost you excellence.
Team

At Better.com, I led a dual-function team of 10 spanning lifecycle/CRM strategy and content. I owned the architecture behind it: the processes, roadmaps, and analytics that kept the program healthy across Better's suite of tools. Each direct report managed their own supporting lifecycle program with real autonomy.

When it counted, I stepped in, sometimes hands-on with the details, sometimes clearing the way so they could focus on delivering great work.

Not a single outage or dip in performance under my watch. Every campaign launched on time, without error. That kind of consistency comes from a launch and QA process rigorous enough to move fast with precision.

I authored a comprehensive career progression framework for the lifecycle and CRM team, defining what growth looked like at every level. But what I'm proudest of isn't metrics or scores — it's relationships that outlast the org chart.

Ask my former team about the 👠.
